DENTIST DR. JESSE CHAI BIO Dr. Jesse Chai graduated from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry in 1998. He started his Dental career working in several offices in the Greater Toronto Area, and provided dental services to nursing homes.
In 2000 he moved to Niagara falls, where he worked in offices in Niagara Falls and Niagara on the lake.
After honing his skills and having many experiences in different dental offices, the next logical step for Dr. Chai was to take what he learned and settle down in one location.
In March 2001, Dr. Chai took over the Dental Practice that Dr. John Hutt established in 1977. The practice now known as Bradford Family Dentistry is the second oldest Dental practice in Bradford.
Over the years Dr. Chai has expanded his knowledge base in his pursuit for dental excellence. He has taken a special interest in:
- Orthodontics
- Cosmetic Dentistry
- Implants
- Headaches and TMD (Temporomandibular Joint Disorders) or Jaw joint disorder treatments
- Snoring and sleep apnea
To date he has invested almost 2000 hours in continuing education. His goal of patient comfort and high-quality dentistry continues to be his driving force to continued learning. Being an active member in the Canadian Dental Association, Ontario Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, International Association of Orthodontics, American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, American Association for Functional Orthodontics, Toronto Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry , and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine has been very beneficial in keeping Dr. Chai and his team up to date on the latest developments in dentistry.
Dr. Chai’s active involvement in the community over the years garnered him an “Entrepreneur of the year award” in 2006. His most recent involvement in collecting toys and clothes for the York Region Newspaper group Santa Fund in December 2008 was a great success and garnered mentioning in the local paper. This event was capped off with a visit from Santa Clause at the office much to the delight of the local children.
Dr. Chai was married to his wife Alice in 2004 and they have a new-born son Evan who was born Jan 15, 2009. When Dr. Chai is not at the office working, travelling for courses, and completing the endless mounds of paperwork that come with running an office, he is at home relaxing with his family.

Suada Suada is Dr. Chai's full time hygienist and has been Dr. Chai's longest-serving and trusted member on his team. Having been at the office already when Dr. Chai took over from Dr. Hutt, she has been providing top quality care for our patients for nearly 20 years now. Always kind and courteous and in a great mood, patients often request her by name, which is a testament to her skills and her dedication to patient comfort. When she is not at work, Suada enjoys spending time with her beautiful daughters, her little dog Gwennie, and shopping! Antonella
Antonella is one of Dr. Chai's dental assistants. She started her career with Dr. Chai in 2005 and has grown into one of his most loyal and trusted team members. Always very friendly and industrious, Antonella's priority is patient comfort and getting done whatever tasks we throw at her. When she is not at work, Antonella can often be found around town with her kids not too far behind.
Alice
Alice is Dr. Chai's Office Manager. Originally trained as a teacher, Alice worked for the public school boards in Toronto and York Region for 5 years prior to joining our office full-time in 2004. Alice became the Office Manager, or "OM" for short, in late 2006 after undergoing intensive office and business management training in the United States. Alice has now returned full-time to the office after having been on maternity leave for the past year.
Damira
Damira is our lovely and talented receptionist whose warmth, patience and genuine manner immediately puts our patients at ease. Originally from Toronto, Damira brings years of stellar customer service and reception experience to Bradford Family Dentistry. You can always count on Damira to put a smile on your face!
Sarah
Sarah is Dr. Chai's sunny hygienist and the office's jack-of-all-trades. Originally hired as our dental assistant/receptionist in 2007, Sarah went back to school for hygiene in 2008 and graduated at the top of her class last year. We are really excited to bring Sarah back on board as many of our patients have fond memories of Sarah from her assisting days. Her genuine smile and nurturing nature assures our patients that they are in excellent hands with her. When not working at our office, Sarah breeds chinchillas.
