For the first time ever we had to leave our 2 dogs and 2 cats while we travelled out of province, I didn't want to board them or separate them and was worried what were we going to do. A neighbour told us about Thunder Run and how pleased she was when Doug and Ruth had taken care of her dog many times while vacationing. Well, Doug came to our home and cared for our pets 3 times a day. The notes he had left were amazing and reasurring our pets/kids were in the Best of Care! Thank goodness for such Wonderful people you can trust and count on to take care of the furry members of our family. We will now be able to travel again knowing Doug & Ruth are caring for these very important members of the family. Warren Mounsey

Ruth and Doug truly love animals! Ruth stayed with our dogs while we were away and if the dogs could talk, they would have wanted us to invite her to live with us! In addition to being kind and warm to the dogs, she is a clean and tidy house guest to the point (if it weren't for the neighbours telling us just how much she was around, we wouldn't have known that she was even here…she did leave a vegan mayonnaise jar in our fridge as additional proof!) My neighbours also got to know her, and they enjoyed the care that she took with our dogs. The dogs loved her and we wouldn't hesitate to ask her to stay again with them.

Doug and Ruth of Thunders Run are great with dogs. I do animal rescue so I've seen some disturbing situations. Thus I am very picky about ensuring whoever looks after my 3 dogs has the skill, commitment and takes the responsibility seriously so that i do't have to worry. They are fantastic. They follow the schedule you set up with them and leave you a written note about how each visit went. One of my three dogs is troublesome yet they've never had a problem with her. Thunders Run is the only caregiver i will leave my dogs with. They are very well known and liked in town. They also do animal rescue work.
