Christy has recently returned to Simcoe Veterinary Hospital from maternity leave after her and her husband Adam welcomed their first child, Olivia. Christy is happily welcomed back as she not only takes care of all of our accounting, she also does behaviour consultation and training.

Christy was born in Parry Sound and raised in Barrie and has always had many animals. She worked as a structural designer for 6 years and then realized it was not her passion. She wanted to help animals have a voice and to understand them better.

Christy was lucky to start a job in a veterinary practice and has been taking continuing education programs to further her animal behaviour career. She has completed certificates in animal behaviour including Patient Behaviour Advocate (PBA) & Karen Pryor Academy (KPA.)

Christy lives with her husband Adam and their daughter. They have 2 cats, Timber and Cedar, and a canary. Christy enjoys reading and spending time with her family, especially visiting places like Ripley’s Aquarium.
