Did you know that massaging petroleum jelly or other paw protectants into your pet's paw pads before going outside can help protect from salt and chemical agents? If you want to provide some extra protection booties give even more coverage and can also prevent sand and salt from getting lodged between bare toes and causing irritation! www.simcoevet.com/

Repeatedly coming out of the cold into the dry heat of your home can cause your pet to have itchy, flaking skin! Keep your home humidified and make sure to towel dry your pet as soon as they come inside, paying special attention to their feet and in-between the toes. Don't forget to remove any snow balls from between his foot pads! www.simcoevet.com/

Dogs definitely see the world differently than people do, but it's a myth that their view is just black, white and shades of gray. While most people can see a full spectrum of colours, dogs do lack some of the light receptors that allow humans to see certain colours.

Today's #TrainingTipTuesday is all about ensuring a smooth litter training journey for your kittens! Let's make sure those tiny paws are on the right track with some helpful tips!

1️⃣ Choose the right litter: Opt for a kitten-friendly, unscented litter. Cats can be picky!
2️⃣ Place the litter box strategically: Set it up in a quiet, easily accessible spot. Cats appreciate their privacy.
3️⃣ Show them the way: Gently place your kitten in the litter box after meals and naps. Encourage exploration!
4️⃣ Be consistent: Stick to a routine. Regular meal times often lead to regular bathroom breaks.
5️⃣ Positive reinforcement: Praise and treats go a long way! Celebrate successful litter box visits with love and rewards.
6️⃣ Number of litter boxes: Ensure you have one more litter box than the number of cats. For example, if you have two cats, provide three litter boxes.
Share your kitten's litter training triumphs in the comments!

Let's celebrate those little victories together.
