About Us
Irish immigrant Mark Scanlon built this farmhouse in the 1860s. He operated a grist mill and sawmill on Scanlon Creek and farmed the surrounding area. Today, Scanlon Creek Conservation Area is a hiker’s haven, a picnicker’s paradise, a birder’s delight and a photographer’s dream. Come and explore the farmhouse and the 283-hectare (700-acre) conservation area.
Doors Open includes the Stone Farmhouse, open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
